Dangerous Goods Database

The Dangerous Goods Dataservice of the Dangerous Goods Database provides dangerous goods data for use in other (software) products.

The data can be used free of charge since 23 July 2025, subject to compliance with the Legal Notice

The data format is provided in the standard formats Excel and CSV (separated by tab stops). The data content available can be viewed under the heading: "The data on offer".

The data on offer

Dangerous goods data are available in two different systems: 

UN No. System: All UN number related data of the dangerous goods list of the regulations are included in this system. 

BAM No. System: This second system includes a more detailed data set. It is split to several topics and contains data for approx. 4,500 individual substances, which are subject to the regulations but are not especially named in the regulations. For the BAM Numbers system, the following lists of topics are available.
